What Is My Item Worth?

We get this a lot, and the information below works for just about anything you have and not just baseball cards

  1. Open your internet browser
  2. Go to ebay.com
  3. Go to the search bar
  4. type the item in the search bar
    • Example: 2001 Albert Pujols Topps Rookie (There will be several cards to look though, the more information the better)
  5. Click Search
  6. Refine the search to Sold Items
    • Desktop: On the far left of the screen click "Sold Items"
    • Mobile Device: Top Right of the App, Click Filter, Show More, Scroll Down To "Sold Items", Show Items
  7. Refine Search to "Ended Recently"
  8. Add up the last 10 items sold then divide by 10 and you will get an average price. (Make sure they are around the same condition)
  9. Example Last 10 sold= $25, $50, $35, $45, $55, $50, $40, $45, $50, $70 = The average price is $46.50

This is all my opinion and what I have seen for the past 10+ years I have been selling items.

Aprraisals on collections are a thing of the past. The only true way to know the true value of your items is to look on ebay at sold prices. They are the largest global resell market in the world. The market flucuates on collectibles just like it does on the Stock Market. In sports cards a player could be doing amazing and his cards double or triple in value, while another player gets hurt and he's out the entire season and his cards drop in value.

If you have any thoughts or things to add please let me know. I would love to regularly update this page to spread information to the customers. A lot of people may inherit items from a family member and have no clue where to start.
